Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO)

The EPSCO Council meets around four times a year. Two of the meetings are usually devoted exclusively to employment and social policy topics. The EU's objective in the field of Employment and Social Policy is to contribute to a high level of employment, promoting improved living and working conditions, appropriate social protection, the development of human resources and combating exclusion. As far as Health and Consumer Affairs are concerned, the EU aims at achieving a high level of human health and consumer protection.
