Informal Meeting of Ministers for Transport and Telecoms

The role of new and innovative technologies is a key point in both the White Paper on the EU Transport Policy and in the Digital Agenda for Europe. In this respect, the Cyprus Presidency will organise a joint Transport and Telecoms Informal Ministerial Meeting on the role of ICT in the implementation of the European Transport Policy, addressing multimodality through the development of Intelligent Transport Systems such as the creation of an electronic multimodal journey planner. The outcome from the said Ministerial Meeting will be presented to the ITS World Congress which will take place in Vienna in October 2012.
