Die Zyprische Präsidentschaft hat vom ersten Tag an dafür gearbeitet, ihr Bestes zu geben für ein besseres Europa, ein Europa, das seinen Bürgern und der Welt mehr bedeutet und die europäische Integration fördert. In diesem Rahmen wurden vier Prioritäten gesetzt: (i) ein Europa das effizienterer und nachhaltiger ist, (ii) ein Europa mit einer leistungsfähigen Wirtschaft, die sich auf Wachstum gründet, (iii) ein Europa, das seinen Bürgern mehr bedeutet, mit Solidarität und sozialem Zusammenhalt und (iv) ein Europa in der Welt, den Nachbarn näher....

Nun, da die 184 Tage der ersten zyprischen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft ihr Ende finden, ist der passende Moment, einen “figurativen” Blick auf die Ratspräsidentschaft zu werfen. In diesem sechsmonatigen Zeitraum scheute die zyprische Ratspräsidentschaft keine Mühe und vergeudete keine Zeit, um Fortschritte bei einer Reihe wichtiger Themen im Rat zu erzielen....
