The Urban Development Group (UDG) is an informal working group bringing together representatives of Ministries in charge of urban development matters within the 27 EU Member-States, candidate countries and cooperating states Norway and Switzerland, as well as representatives of the EU institutions and other key stakeholder organisations at the European level. The group meets regularly under each rotating Presidency, while its main reference documents are the Leipzig Charter on Sustainable European Cities (2007) and the Toledo Declaration (2010) on integrated urban regeneration.
